I love autumn. It’s my favourite time of year. It’s so exciting.
The leaves change colour and the hot summer sun finally cools off. I get to wear my fashionable boots and wrap up in one of my warm scarves. The air is crisp and it feels so fresh and energising to walk outside. My favourite thing to do is sit outside a cafe with some hot chocolate.
But autumn is exciting for many reasons. It’s just so unpredictable. Especially this autumn…
I wake up and the sky is grey. I want to stay in bed. But I get dressed and step outside into the cold damp air. As I walk, it starts to spit with rain. By the time I get to the tram stop, it’s bucketing down. It pours and pours until I get to my rehearsal and then, once I’m inside, everything changes. The sky clears, the sun comes out, and from the window I can see people sipping hot chocolate outside cafes. When I finish rehearsal, I grab my fashionable boots and warm scarf and rush outside. But when I get there, somehow the world has changed. The sky is grey again and it starts to spit. I put my coat on and put my umbrella up. With a sigh, I move between the people rushing to stay warm on the cold, dark streets and I head home.
Oh well, at least autumn isn’t boring!
